Welcome to my website! My name is Aaron Sunstein and I am an organist, church musician, and music theorist. I am universitetslektor at Musikhögskolan i Piteå where I teach music theory and music history and church musician in the parish of Råneå, both in the north of Sweden. I am also finishing two doctoral degrees: a Ph.d in music theory and a DM in organ performance at Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University.

A committed performer, teacher, and scholar, I am dedicated to furthering the understanding of keyboard music from the late Renaissance to the present day. My  Ph.d/DM dissertation explores contrapuntal and motivic strategies in the music of Girolamo Frescobaldi.
